The data controller for personal data collected on this site (including newsletter emails and earlier waitlist signups) is ai2excel.com, the website operated at ai2excel.com. 1. Information We Collect
Spreadsheet data
When you upload .xlsx, .xls, or .csv files, we process the contents of your workbooks solely to provide the service you request — formulas, pivot tables, conditional formatting, data cleaning, and related operations.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter (or joined our earlier waitlist), we collect the email address you submit. Those lists are stored separately via our email provider (Resend). If the provider cannot store a contact list, we instead email the address to hello@ai2excel.com so the signup is not discarded. You can ask us to delete it by writing to privacy@ai2excel.com.
Account information
To use the workspace at app.ai2excel.com you sign in with an email magic link. We collect the email address you sign in with. Sign-in and accounts are handled by our authentication provider, Supabase. We do not use passwords.
Usage data
We collect minimal technical data necessary to operate the service: session identifiers, browser type, IP address (for security and rate limiting), and anonymized usage metrics. We do not sell your personal information.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your information only to:
- Process newsletter signups you submit
- Operate the service, including processing spreadsheets you upload
- Maintain service security, prevent abuse, and debug issues
- Send essential service communications (e.g., security alerts)
- Improve product performance using aggregated, anonymized analytics
3. No Model Training
Your spreadsheets are never used to train AI models — period. Session data is processed ephemerally for your request and is not retained for model improvement. We contractually prohibit our AI infrastructure providers from using your data for training purposes.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
- Anonymous sessions (planned): Uploaded files and session data are intended to auto-delete after 24 hours. This site does not store workbooks.
You may request immediate deletion of your data at any time by contacting privacy@ai2excel.com.
5. Encryption & Security
Items marked “planned” below describe intended controls. Treat them as planned — not as live guarantees.
- This site: served over HTTPS by the host.
- In transit (planned): TLS 1.3 for workbook uploads and API traffic
- At rest (planned): AES-256 encryption for stored workbooks; key rotation. Not implemented yet.
- Processing (planned): isolated session context with sandboxed file parsing
6. Cookies & Local Storage
ai2excel.com does not set authentication or session-management cookies. When you sign in to the workspace at app.ai2excel.com, Supabase sets essential session cookies that keep you signed in. On ai2excel.com we use essential local storage for: theme preference, cookie-consent choice, and announcement-bar dismissal. Optional PostHog analytics loads only after you accept, and only when a PostHog project key is configured. If you decline, or if analytics is not configured, no analytics script is loaded.
7. Third-Party Services
Cloudflare hosts ai2excel.com and the workspace. Supabase handles sign-in and stores your account email. Newsletter addresses (and earlier waitlist signups) are sent to Resend so we can contact you about product news. Optional product analytics uses PostHog after consent, when a project key is configured. When you send a request to the agent, your message and the relevant workbook data are sent to our AI service providers to generate the response. We do not use a payment processor.
8. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data; object to or restrict processing; and withdraw consent. EU residents may lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

9. Children
ai2excel is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
